New Year’s Resolutions put into action

Now that the New Year has finally started and I’m back at work I feel like its time to get my New Year’s Resolutions started. Yep…no slacking! Need to get into that routine I was talking about.

So in order to do this I have placed a goal for me to keep track of what I have achieved and what not.  This is to help me see what works for me. I have given myself a bit of slack in order to figure the schedule which best works for me and my family.

Part 1:  Being more healthy

For the healthy part of my resolution I will break it down into weeks! I will enrol at a gym and I my aim is to go at least 3 times a week. If possible more, but in the worst case I need to do at least 3 days. I will also find some workout exercises over the internet to do the other days. Something like the one below that I put together.

As for cooking – I will continue to cook healthy meals but this time I will refrain from having unhealthy snacks at home. I really love my chocolate so this is going to be a difficult one for me. I will need to make sure I have healthy snacks on the go! If any of you have any suggestions please leave your comments below.



Part 2: Organisation

This is not too hard for me apart from one thing I dread most. Filling! Yep, I hate filling away all our documents. I have enough as is at work that once I’m home and I see a pile of documents and bill that I just don’t want to deal with them.

So I thought that if I have a specific day to tackle this job, it might make it easier and not so dreadful. What do you think? Do you think I’ll be able to stick to this plan? Well we shall see!


Part 3: Positive thinking

Now this is easier said than done! For this I will try to have key words at my desk, at work and home to keep a positive attitude as I will be seeing these words most of the day! This should help me keep positive thoughts, I hope! I will put it to the test! If this doesn’t help then I will need all of your help with this one!

Some key words will be:

Beautiful, Strong, Smile, Laugh and Be Happy!

Now that I have set these all out, it’s time to implement them and stick to the plan!

      I know it’s hard but we all have to start from somewhere. So I thought it would be easier but having the words somewhere where I can see them daily to help me stay positive. So far I have my word ‘believe’. To believe in myself and to believe that it is alright to make mistakes as we learn from them. Also to believe that things happen for a reason and with everything that happens there is always a silver lining! I hope this inspires you to start your journey to being more positive.

    These are great resolutions! Good luck with them! 🙂 For healthy eating, I try have some snacks ready to go, like cut carrot. I also try not to eat too much chocolate, but sometimes I indulge, haha! 🙂

      I love the idea of cut carrot! A friend of mine the other day also suggested cut celery and then to dip them in hummus!

    Great goals for 2018! I get my workout inspiration from PInterest or YouTube videos. There are some great tutorials that you can watch others do and workout plans on Pinterest that really help. Having a guide to follow along really helps me. Good luck!

      Thank you! I too have turned to pinterest and also the 30 day challenges found on google too. I’m still trying to find what works best for me but at least I’m actually doing some workouts!
