MY NEW FACIAL PRODUCTS
Before I get into the details of my all-time favourite and relatively new facial products I would like to inform you that this post does contain affiliate links. This means that if you decide to purchase any of the below mentioned products through the links I have provided I will make a small commission that is at no additional expense to you.
Lately my skin is not as it used to be. It has become dry, and I can feel it sort of pulling tightly. It is a horrible feeling and I couldn’t stand it any longer. So I decided to go out and see what products best suited my skin.
As it happened, the very next day I received a promotional text for Apivita products. You all know by now that I LOVE Apivita products so I immediately called for an appointment with their beautician.
Apivita usually has a promotional day once a month at specific pharmacies (each day is a different pharmacy). This was my chance to see the expert beautician to help me choose with cream and anything else that she thought was a must for my skin. She usually takes a look at your skin and tells you what your skin type is and also what products in relation to their range, suits you.
Moreover they actually treat you to a simple facial using the products they suggest for you AND they also give you free samples too! So it’s a win win situation.
Finally, the day of the appointment came. Upon arrival at the pharmacy, the beautician greeted me and explained to me the new product line of sunscreens and creams, and then we headed to the room where nice relaxing music was playing.
Once she started to look at my skin she kept on saying that my skin was very dehydrated. Thank I was not drinking enough water and that now that summer was here I should definitely be drinking more water than before. I was in need of moisturizer and immediately as she put it!
The beautician then got right to it. She cleaned my face and applied not one but to face masks. She did the first one and when she saw just how dehydrated my face was she did a second. I never even knew you could or should do 2 face masks (one after the other). To be totally honest I had no idea what she was doing. I was just enjoying being pampered and it relaxed me so much that I could fall asleep.
The music playing with the relaxing waves of the ocean playing in the background, and the beautician massaging the products into my skin was just heavenly. The massage was bitter sweet as I knew my appointment was coming to an end. My pampering was over.
After the session, the beautician told me that it was worse than she thought. My skin was so dehydrated that she used 2 different masks to help my skin absorb as much moisture as possible. Also she said that my skin was very sensitive as when she did the peeling on me I immediately came up with redness.
I was shocked that my skin was so bad. Never had I ever had such bad skin in my entire life (so far). I knew my skin was sensitive; it always had been, but that dry and sensitive – never!
Anyhow, we made our way to the shop floor where she told me which products she recommends for my skin and gave me a few options.
Her options where: buying a moisturizer and cleanser that came as a package and the other option was a moisturizer and a serum. I chose the second package as I thought the serum was a better option for me. I already had my cleanser at home that I really love. You can read about it here.
WHAT I BOUGHT
So in the end I bought the AQUA VITA package. It has Apivita Aqua Vita advanced moisturizer revitalizing cream and Aqua Vita advanced moisture revitalizing serum. Basically I bought the moisturizer cream and get the serum at a discount, which is pretty good!
I also bought the Face scrub with Bilberry in order to do my face mask twice a week in order to help my skin get enough moisture as possible and soon.
AQUA VITA MOISTURISER CREAM
The moisturizer actually worked instantly. As soon as I apply it I can feel my skin absorbing all the goodness within the cream. The revitalizing action the cream has and also the radiance, elasticity and softness were exactly what my dull, dry skin needed!
The cream is to be applied morning and night to cleansed skin on the face and neck area. It has 97% natural ingredients and has 24 hour hydration with the chaste tree phyto-endorphine extract.
AQUA VITA MOISTURISER SERUM
The serum is actually applied to your cleansed skin before you apply your moisturizer. This actually helps to preserve moisture in the skin and therefore helps when you then apply the moisturizer on top.
This product has the same ingredients as the moisturizer above as it is from the same product line. Apivita Serum is actually 98% natural ingredients
APIVITA FACE SCRUB WITH BILBERRY
This face scrub is the mildest that Apivita has and so the beautician said for me to use this one as my skin was overly sensitive. This helped my skin really get some radiance back and also allowing my Apivita face mask with Aloe to really be absorbed. (read my blog post on the face mask here)
Apivita face scrub with Bilberry is 89% natural ingredients and helps with exfoliation, radiance and rejuvenation. You feel your skin smooth and soft after its use.
THE FREE SAMPLE I RECEIVED
I was s00o lucky as they were also giving away free samples of sunscreens! Yeahhh! I got a free sample of their new Apivita Suncare Anti-wrinkle face and neck cream with Oliva & 3D Pro-Algae. It is 30SPF and it is amazing. I don’t feel like I have too much stuff on my face and that is always a plus for me. If you know me, you know that I do not wear foundation or too much makeup.
The sunscreen has 83% natural ingredients and is also anti-wrinkle. It is also silicone free, water resistant and hypoallergenic.
END RESULT OF THE USE OF ALL THESE PRODUCTS
After using these products for a month I returned back to the beautician for her to see the end result. I knew that my skin had improved by far but I wanted her opinion too.
She said that she could tell from the minute she saw me that there was a vast improvement and that I should continue on with the same products. After another month or so she wanted to see me again and make sure I was still happy with the product choices.
She was so encouraging and nice that I knew I found the right beautician for advice! I have now been using these products for 2 months and on to my third month. As soon as my sunscreen runs out and the free same runs out I will be buying the full sized sun care sunscreen too.
I hope you all enjoyed this roundup of the facial products I use and that if any of you are in need for any products relating to very dry and sensitive skin, I highly recommend these products! Apivita products are AH-MAZING! The best part is that the prices are affordable AND they are almost 100% natural products.
